Who we are

Silent Digital Income is operated by Karen Spence (trading as Silent Digital Income). When this policy says “we,” “us” or “our,” it means Karen Spence.

What information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us directly. This happens in two places on our website:

• The free guide sign-up form — we collect your first name and email address.
• The contact form — we collect your name, email address, and the message you send us.

We do not ask you to provide special-category or other particularly sensitive personal information through this website. Please avoid including this type of information in free-text messages unless it is genuinely necessary. We do not collect payment information. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us only for the purpose you gave it:

• Free guide sign-up — to send you the free guide you requested and administer communications directly related to that request.
• Contact form messages — to reply to your enquiry and keep a record of the correspondence.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Our lawful basis for using your information

UK GDPR requires us to have a lawful basis for processing personal information. Our basis depends on what the information is used for:

• Delivering and administering the free guide you requested — we rely on legitimate interests. You requested the guide and we have a legitimate interest in delivering it and handling communications directly related to that request.
• Handling contact-form enquiries — we rely on legitimate interests. We have a legitimate interest in responding to messages sent to us and keeping a record of those exchanges.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or until you ask us to delete it:

• Free-guide requests — we keep your name and email address for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver and administer your free-guide request and maintain any related records. We review this information periodically and delete it when it is no longer needed. If you ask us to remove your information, we will do so unless we need to retain a limited record for legal or compliance purposes.
• Contact enquiries — we keep a record of correspondence for as long as it remains relevant, and then delete it.

Who else has access to your information

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run this website. These services may process your personal information on our behalf:

• GoHighLevel — the platform we use to manage our sign-up and contact forms and send emails. Your name and email address are stored in their system. When a form is submitted, GoHighLevel may also process technical and security information such as IP address, approximate geographic location, and other security signals. GoHighLevel is based in the United States; data transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards.
• GitHub Pages — the service that hosts our website files. It does not have access to form data.
• Google Fonts — used to load the fonts on our website. Your browser makes a request to Google’s servers to download the fonts; Google may log that request. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

We do not share your information with any other third parties.

Cookies and tracking

Our own website pages do not set cookies. However, some of the third-party services we use — including our form provider and Google Fonts — may set functional cookies or make requests to their servers as part of operating normally. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking your behaviour across other websites.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have rights in relation to your personal information. Whether and how these rights apply depends on the circumstances and the lawful basis we rely on, but in general you have the right to:

• Access — ask us what personal information we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information where there is no good reason to keep it.
• Restriction — ask us to pause using your information in certain circumstances.
• Objection — object to us processing your information where we rely on legitimate interests.
• Portability — ask for a copy of your information in a structured, machine-readable format in certain circumstances.

Complaints

If you have a concern about the way we handle your personal information, you are welcome to submit a complaint to us by emailing hello@silent-digital-income.com. You do not have to contact us before going to the ICO, but we would welcome the opportunity to help.

When we receive a data-protection complaint, we will:

• Acknowledge receipt within 30 days
• Take appropriate steps to investigate the complaint without undue delay
• Keep you informed where appropriate while it is being investigated
• Communicate the outcome to you without undue delay
